Knotts Berry Farm/Spring Break March 2010

Our favorite family vacation spot is Knotts Berry Farm! We love it. The park is small--we stay in the hotel next to the park. We always have a great time!
Here we are heading into the park for our first day of fun!

We even met some friends--The Hansens. They were in CA for Spring Break and we told them how much we enjoyed Knotts and they came. We only saw them twice--once on the way into the park--we were walking and they were driving--and here. I thought we'd see them more because the park wasn't busy. They had a great time--no lines is wonderful!
From L. to R. we have Neil, Cardon, Grant, Shauna and Van. Great family! Grant and Davis are in the same class at Highland Elementary. They are good friends. Allison, Brooke and Mike were there too but they didn't make it into the picture.

Daddy and Grant going into the Calico Mine! OOOOOOOO!!

A kind stranger took this pic. by the bumper cars. (Yes, Allie is almost as tall as Taylor and Lauren!)

We love to stay at the Knotts Berry Farm Resort because we can walk to the park. It is an extra treat to see Snoopy there. Grant really likes that! Taylor and Lauren refused to take a picture with him. Teenagers!

We went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. (The girls insisted!) We had fun cracking the crabs. I must say it is a lot of work to get your food--next time I'll get the burger!:)

Daddy and Grant--I guess Grant thinks pretending to eat makes a great picture.

Babes in bibs!

They have a playground outside of the restaurant. Grant had a great time becoming buried in the rocks. He loves rocks! He rocks!:)

Too cute!

All the kids went on the swings--Grant is finally tall enough! He was so excited. He loved this ride the first time. The second time he had a panicked look on his face throughout the ride and I asked him if he liked it and he said it was going to break. He must have heard a noise or something that scared him. He didn't ride it again.

In the air--only Allie is not visible.

Here we are on the Jaguar. One of our favorite rides. Grant is finally tall enough. They measured him every time and he was right at the line. We were so happy because he loves these type of rides. This was one of his favorites.

This surprised me--Taylor, Allie, Lauren, and Grant--yes, Grant rode this ride. You can't see him but he is next to Lauren.

Here they are in the air--now you know why it surprised me--he loved it and rode it again.

Davis and Tye are watching in amazement!! We all said "no, thank you" to this ride!

Two little bobsledders! Where is Grant's body?

This was my favorite ride. It was so scary--because of the height. It takes you really high--really high--then it drops. It is so fun--you are lifted right off of the seat. Only Allie, Lauren, and I rode it. The cute little girl next to Allie was talking to us the entire time and when we got to the top of the ride--right before it dropped--she said, "Look, I can see Knotts Berry FARaaaaaaaahhhhhh." It dropped before she could finish her sentence. It was cute!

This gives you an idea of how hight it is. I asked the guy working there if it was safe--this was right after he helped us get strapped in--he said, "Oh yes, it is sponsored by Toyota." There was a twinkle in his eye because Toyota is having all those problems with their gas pedals sticking. What a way to reassure a rider!!

The park closed at 6PM and on our second day there it was getting close to 6 and the girls and Davis wanted to ride the Silver Bullet one last time. Unfortunately, Lauren was with Grant on the other side of the park and he insisted they ride the teacup. Lauren, being the great sister that she is, got on the teacup with Grant and that was her last ride at Knotts Berry Farm--at least for this trip.
As always, we sure had a great time.
We left Knotts the next morning and went to Yuma and spent a wonderful two days with our cousins!! It was a fun Spring Break!:)
